Behavioral Health Tech

The MARR Women’s Program is a long term  treatment program for women struggling with the disease of addiction. We are currently hiring for full time, part time & PRN Behavioral Health Techs.

The position of Behavioral Health Tech has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women who have been affected by the disease of addiction. The position is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that ensures the safety & wellbeing of the women we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment; respond to safety concerns with proper inspections and documentation
  • Monitor residents in a substance abuse recovery setting, observing and documenting behavior and progress
  • Schedule activities and appointments; assist with daily living skills
  • Transport clients to support meetings (e.g., AA/NA)
  • Assist with client intake and post-admission support
  • Document maintenance requests and conduct housekeeping inspections
  • Supervise and support program participants during activities
  • Track and manage clients’ personal belongings, including funds and cards
  • Make continuous rounds of the facility, rooms and grounds to ensure overall safety.
  • Supervise and observe clients’ self-administration of medications at designated intervals, recording details in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Communicate client needs to program staff and relay staff updates to residents as well as contribute to treatment team decisions and share relevant client information
  • Promote a positive, supportive therapeutic approach
  • Work collaboratively with the team, ensuring flexibility to meet client and program needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders or relevant training preferred
